A Trauma Recovery Foundation

Healing takes courage.
No one should walk that path alone.

Beyond Brave helps trauma survivors access evidence-based healing therapies — especially EMDR — so the past no longer stands in front of them.

What We Fund

EMDR therapy, the evidence-based path forward.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer overwhelm daily life. It is recognized by the World Health Organization, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the American Psychological Association as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD.

  • Helpful for childhood trauma, abuse, grief, narcissistic abuse, domestic violence, medical trauma, and more.
  • Does not erase what happened — reduces its emotional charge.
  • Delivered by licensed, EMDR-trained, trauma-informed clinicians.
Learn how EMDR works
“It helped me feel like the trauma was finally behind me, not constantly in front of me.”
“I still remember what happened, but it doesn't hurt in the same way anymore.”
“For the first time in years, I could sleep peacefully.”

From Our Founder

“EMDR felt like magic — but it's not magic. It's access. It's care. It's healing.”

After more than a decade in survival mode, Staci Durham found EMDR — and with it, a way back to herself. Beyond Brave exists so that trauma survivors who can't otherwise afford care can experience the same change.
